Position statement adopted by the Cavalier Park-Bay Colony Community League, Inc.
The residents of Cavalier Park-Bay Colony wish to preserve the beauty of our neighborhood in practicing good stewardship. We recognize that the integrity of zoning should be maintained. We support the zoning regulations that allow variances only if a legal hardship exists. An applicant for a variance must show that “the granting of a variance will alleviate a clearly demonstrated hardship as distinguished from special privilege or convenience sought by the applicant.” Sec 15-2-2309 Code of Virginia
